Monique van der Wiele, is a healthcare professional in footcare, specialized in "The Diabetic Foot" and working in a big healthcarecenter in The Netherlands.
Monique has also been working as a podiatric-assistant for a podiatrist in Vancouver, B.C. Canada and has been for 12 years
a journalist for the Dutch Footcare Magazine.

The site started in......

We started this website on the 8th. of May 2000 with the aim... to give reliable general and medical information about feet in every sense of the way to the public.

More importantly to English and German speaking visitors; this site also gives general information about where to go for footcare in different countries in Europe and elsewhere. With it we will give addresses and links to the particular countries.

The intention has been from the start to translate the site in English and German, the process being in development at the moment.

The content of this site is written by....... Monique van der Wiele, owner of this site, in close cooperation with Drs. M. van Putten who is a physician and scientific researcher in the field of The Diabetic Foot.
She contributes to our footABC and screens this site on medical facts and injustice written by the owner.

Other sources in the field of footcare and podiatry have been and/or still are contributing their knowledge and cooperation to this website.

Translation in English and German in process......

At this moment we are in process to translate our Dutch content..... into English and German. This will take some time, but we are expecting to have this ready in January 2004.

Our website is still growing by new items and with it we will translate items that could be of interest to our English and German speaking visitors.
